DEI Begins With Me

A highly engaging Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) certificate course is for PAOS members exclusively and sponsored by the PAOS Foundation. Topics covered include deepening understanding of seven key DEI terms, recognizing two main types of bias, identifying and preventing DEI mess-ups, and responding appropriately after messing up. 

This self-paced interactive experience provides a space of safety in which to be challenged while engaging in learning and unlearning. Provided with strategies to advance everyday equity and inclusion, PAOS members will be equipped to take action that contributes to sustainable change.  [7 Video Lessons; Duration ~2 Hours]

This activity has been reviewed by the AAPA Review Panel and is compliant with AAPA CME Criteria. This activity is designated for 2 AAPA Category 1 CME credits. PAs should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation. Approval is valid until 12/31/2025. AAPA reference number: CME-2013203.

    Yes. The PAOS Foundation is sponsoring this DEI course for the exclusive benefit of current PAOS members. PAOS will provide members with a course enrollment coupon code to be used at check-out. Non-members that enroll will be promptly disenrolled. This course and associated discussion community are for the exclusive use PAOS members. Non-members are encouraged to enroll in "DEI 101: Building a Shared DEI Vocabulary" and "DEI 201: How to Avoid and Address DEI Mess-Ups."
